Leaving Violence Behind: The Journey from Extremism to Peace
On December 17th we were joined by two former violent extremists, Jesse Morton and Ryan Lo’Ree, to hear about their journeys of de-radicalization and how they are now working to build peace. They each told their personal stories and then discussed how they are using trauma-informed approaches to help bring others out of radicalized groups. They also discussed the current state of polarization in our country and how we can all build peace and help prevent radicalization and violence.
Trauma-Sensitive Peacebuilding Online Course: How It Went
Our first ever Trauma-Sensitive Peacebuilding course has officially wrapped up! It deepened participants’ awareness of the reality of trauma in all our lives and the ways in which we can personally experience post-traumatic growth or live with courage in order to help our group move toward healing. We talk about “shalom” a lot, and it’s a driving force behind what we do and why. The Rick Love Peace Award 2021
Rick Love was a peacemaker with a dream. He wanted to catalyze a peacemaking movement. He wanted Christians to embrace peacemaking and peacebuilding as a critical component of following Jesus. At Peace Catalyst, we are continuing that legacy by establishing the Rick Love Peace Award.

We are excited to announce the launch of a new project to help Christian peacebuilders across the world explore together how we might faithfully and effectively build bridges of understanding, respect, and friendship with neighbors from other social, ideological, and religious groups.
